Not written by me
Someone actually asked me what are some pitstops in my life? That makes me ponder..
Guess I didn't really purposefully, deliberately go for pitstops.. That has got to be a way of life..
I mean, we don't actually schedule pitstop dates on our diary.. as in when to go Esso station, for car wash etc..
Like today.. I just drove into an Esso station to pump petrol cos the fuel tank is at the LOW side and to wash my car cos my nose is sneezing and I just don't feel my car is clean!
Yesterday, I was watching the movie "CARS" with Ja... (yes for the umpteen time again!)
Lightning McQueen (the red car) was actually trying to finish the last lap and he purposefully skipped the pitstop cos he wanted to "chiong" and be HERO!
Guess what happened? His wheels came off and though he was just a tiny bit to the finishing line, he just couldnt touch it as his wheels were coming off...
So i learnt some key lessons:
1) A good pitstop involves a good TEAM! You see that every F1 racing car has a team at the pitstop ready to pump the car up befoore it sets off again!
2) We need to be secure to allow ourselves to stop at pitstops while some other cars are racing pass you.
3) We need to have longevity in mind... to run for the long haul rather than chiong for the NOW. Jesus has Eternity in mind, not just your 5, 8 or even 10 years of ministry on earth.
4) Your engine doesn't stop completely at a pitstop. Cos when the tyres are changed and the car is refueled, it zooms off immediately rather than hav ing to restart the engines again! Vrroom!!

random thoughts
I went for CHC appreciation and learnt that above all else relationship stands. Everything can be taken away form you overnight but relationship is something precious.
I realized that this year. I learnt it the hard way.
But God is graceful i let it slipped away and it came back again.
Coming to the close of 2009, one thing that will break my heart is perhaps broken relationship with people. I am not perfect. I offended people. I didn't treat them well. I didn't treat them the way God will treat them.
So nowadays i hear myself saying "Eve, chill. stop. stop. think think. see see. look look. write them down. crush the paper. smile."
Thanksgiving, always a time we appreciate people. Always a time to rejoice, to cry. To thank the people who walked together with you.
Roomie said. you only need those few people in your life.
yah. really. those few.

interprete my dream

I had a dream
I went through many storms
Muddy. Dripping wet. Dirt.
Shopping Centre.
Nice shop. Nice clothes. Bright. Black. Pink. Purple. Colors.
Someone came out to welcome me and offered me nice and new changing clothes. Good fit.
I stepped into the shop and everything turned into ashes. Brown. Black Dirt.
Everyone ignored me. I looked at the clothes in my hand. All became grossly over-sized.
I was trapped inside the shop.
I woke up.
3 Interpretation.
1) God is trying you tell me not to look at the outside of things. Go deeper.
2) The Lord gives and takes away.
3) No shopping.
Number 1 is from me. Haha. No 2 is ball. No 3 is Miss M.
Arg. But my best friends said just a dream of a stressed up or tired person and don't look too much into it.
But i don usually remember my dream.

Huimin and the Banana Spirit and the Natural Glue

Favourite activities nowadays are watching online movies, drama, catching shows at Bishan GV with Huimin, sipping latte... I have come to really enjoy simple activities and agree that i am a homely person... Watching downloaded movies with huimin after busy sat and sun morning brings me a lot of comfort.
I was telling her either one of us get married first, i think we will cry like nobody's business. And sharing a room with her has become a "habit" for me and i don think i can sleep alone anymore. Having insomnia sometimes and having huimin around to gossip bout other people brings me comfort. Ha Ha...
Oh just a random post.

Race
Not forgetting the unglam picture... Eve w/o make up... slouching shoulder... Oh! I didn't sleep the entire night! coz i was worried bout certain things. But i still made it through. :)
Went for Army Half Marathon run last Sunday. 21km. completed in 2hr 30min. Not Bad! 1 hour faster than last year.
And i didn't really train at all coz nowadays my jogging timing has reduced to max 45mins coz i really have no time for it.
The difference is that i have 2 good friends running together. I was alone last year coz my sis and her friend were late and they asked me to go ahead w/o them. It was all BORING.
When i was running, i was reminded of the different Race of Life all of us have to go through in our life. And Phil Pringle's words came to my mind "No trials last forever, you just have to keep on walking...".
In the beginning of the race, i told twins that i will follow their speed and asked them to just maintain. Haha.. But of coz they slowed down in the end coz i was really tired.
And throughout the race we looked out for one another just to ensure we stay close and i think they are nice coz roland stayed behind me i think just to ensure i don't go missing. heh... And we kept looking at the sign board which tell us how much we have covered. Ron will turn back and say "10 more to go, 8 more to go, 6 more to go.... ". And i will be like "ya man.." and feel encouraged. And Roland will say "wa li peng eh zhao ah... (means u can actually run pretty well in Hokkien)"... and i will laugh at the way he put things to be.
Towards the last few km of the race, there are sign boards with encouraging words printed on it. And it reminded me how God will throw His words and verses into our hearts at times. when we see no end to the trials. when we see no end to the ever rising waters. when we see no end to the puddles upon puddles of mud.
Towards the last part when we begin to see the finishing line, Ron turned back and said "wa, this is the easiest part liao.." Ya man... when we can see the finishing line, everything will become so much easier.
And Woo Hoo! I got my medal again this year! Not all bout the medal, but it is about completing the race. It was FUN. =)

Like to everyone?
Like all the time.
Like to an extend whereby they have identity crisis?
And then they became inconsistent?
And they unknowingly became so fake.
I really wonder.
And they just give u a feeling that they are so empty.
And they are bored all the time.
My heart goes all out to them.
