LOVE

1 Corinthians 13:3-7

If I gave everything I have to the poor and even sacrificed my body, I could boast about it; but if I didn’t love others, I would have gained nothing.

Love is patient and kind.

Love is not jealous or boastful or proud or rude.

It does not demand its own way.

It is not irritable, and it keeps no record of being wronged.

It does not rejoice about injustice but rejoices whenever the truth wins out.

Love never gives up, never loses faith, is always hopeful, and endures through every circumstance.

I like the sermon Pastor Kong shared today. Especially the part on love. The best definition for the word "LOVE" can be found in 1Cor13. One of the things that i always pray for is that i will learn to love even more, more, more. Loving God, Loving the people around me, loving my life, loving myself. Not being judgmental. But being able to accept differences even if i may not like it. Not being fake. But to sincerely LOVE. Oh ya, seriously i am not born a loving person. haha! But i did change a lot when i know God.

I also like how The Message bible put it to be:

Love never gives up.
Love cares more for others than for self.
Love doesn't want what it doesn't have.
Love doesn't strut,
Doesn't have a swelled head,
Doesn't force itself on others,
Isn't always "me first,"
Doesn't fly off the handle,
Doesn't keep score of the sins of others,
Doesn't revel when others grovel,
Takes pleasure in the flowering of truth,
Puts up with anything,
Trusts God always,
Always looks for the best,
Never looks back,
But keeps going to the end.
